First Aid Programs
SOLMED Alliance’ staff in the Canary Islands (Spain) have attended a First aid training course, which has been given by professionals of the Spanish Red Cross. It is essential for our company that our employees receive training on an ongoing basis. For that reason we organize these types of courses at all locations, which are vital to allow us to react to emergency situations.
During the training period, our employees have had the opportunity to learn about First aid aspects, life-saving and how to assist victims in different cases. In addition, they have actively participated in various simulations to help them manage difficulties in a range of diverse events.
Over these three fruitful training sessions, all SOLMED Alliance’ members have been involved; being conscious that “being trained in First aid courses can save lives” as one of our employees, Mr. Alés, Logistic Supervisor, has indicated. Within the activities developed by the Red Cross members for our team, there was an emphasis on practical cases such as victims’ immobilization and transfer, as well as the rules they have to follow in an accident while waiting for the emergency services to come.
All attendants have concluded how useful and helpful these courses have been in their daily activities and they have refreshed their knowledge about the importance of safety and prevention to avoid accidents.
